It is my personal opinion that we should completely blame the media for the death of Michael Jackson. The coverage surrounding his trial, and all the allogations made agaist him and hyped by the media, plus the constant pressure with journalists desperate to cast him in the limelight for the wrong things in his private life too, surely contributed to the stress that caused his heart to fail :S

What do you think guys? Agreement or disagreement? :)

Please be respectful, there are an awful lot of Michael Jackson lovers who will read this thread :)

I completely agree. I believe the media ruined him.

Hey Bladesan I agree with you . But there are some other factors that
led to his death as well .

But the media is a factor . And another factor is his health .

And there are some more factors .

absolutely could be a contributing factor though I'd think minimal if any but I'd be more likely to think lifestyle and choices played a huge factor.
I saw a show on skin bleaching (if you think that dude lost his pigment naturally well imo your delusional) and one of the many many side effects is heart issues , from high blood pressure to full on heart failure. And that's just one possibility who knows what else dude did.

anyways, i gotta say I'm completely sick of hearing about him, he is dead let him be rested in peace in the memories of those who he effected in a positive way and forgotten to those otherwise.

See, here's the thing. I think Micheal had "mental" issues, not "crazy" or anything like that. But, I do believe he suffered from something. When you the $ or in his case "think" you do. You can ignore the "issues"..buy your way around them, especially if you have an amazing talent such as he did..or get urself a dr that will give u pills to make you feel ok... offer lotsa cash so you don't have to tell your problems to get the meds.

Micheal could concentrate on the dance, the music, the beat, lose himself, his mind... mentally and emotionally while "in the mode". It's what went on outside of the music, the studio and inside Micheal's head that killed him. He's famous, lots of famous ppl have media coverage constantly.

To my knowledge not one member of the media was even present...it's not like he was hounded just moments before or anything.

Micheal was unique, unusual, and mysterious. The same traits so many adored, are the same ones that killed him.

Personally, accidental suicide is my guess. Having had a Dad who was addicted to perscription pain killers for awhile, it's quite easily done. Take one...forget they take one... take another....oops maybe another cause they feel so good.

Doesn't really matter anymore. My heart hurts for his 3 children who are going to be dragged through the custody battle from h*ll... while trying to learn how to grieve for their daddy...the only parent they've ever known.

R.I.P Micheal... may your demons haunt you no more. (YA YOU ROCKED IN TORONTO IN '84.. never forget it!)

I grew up with Michael Jackson and absolutley love him but the thing was he almost died before because he was addicted to drugs and his brother saved him....But the media might of put him in a stressed state where he got depressed and went crazy with all the perscription drugs. He also had a eating disorder which made him very thin and caused his bones to be very brittle they said when the gave him cpr they ended braking his rib cage cause his bone were so weak there could of been multiple reason why he had cardiac arrest....and I would be awfully upset if someone accused me of something that is not true I do believe he did nothing like people accused him of they just wanted his money he loved children and I believ he would of never harmed them in anyway.   R.I.P Michael Jackson we love u

It may eventually come out that prescription drugs killed Michael Jackson (not the media)!

Totally disagree.

Even if the media is being overly intrusive, everyone makes their own choices. Plenty of celebrities are in the limelight and being judged for even the tiniest things. Not all of them turn to drugs... that's a personal choice.

Did the media increase his stress level? Probably. But when you're a public figure, you put yourself out there to be scrutinized. And, guilty or not with regards to the molestation allegations, he demonstrated awfully poor judgment.

I truly believe that if the media hadn’t hounded Michael Jackson, he would still be with us today. I was a huge fan of his during the 80s and part of the 90s (basically until I’d outgrown that level of fandom) and everyday at school and college, people would give me newspaper clippings about MJ – some from UK, some from imported mags. I saw the media change almost overnight. He was saying that he didn’t want to give interviews because he was tired of being mis-quoted and he went from being portrayed as a sensitive and shy enigma to Wacko Jacko wearing masks, sleeping in oxygen chambers, and having extensive plastic surgery. And I’m ashamed to say it came from the British tabloids (the snickering schoolboys that they are).

I feel that if that hadn’t happened and if the public hadn’t been so happy to join in kicking him, then individuals wouldn’t have felt there was enough public support to take him to court with false allegations, and he wouldn’t have spent the rest of his final years defending himself over and over again. Since his death, I’ve been looking at some of the coverage I’ve ‘missed’ over the last decade. What a horrible way to live. I’m surprised he made it this far. Once you call someone mad, you can get away with saying pretty much anything about them and people will think at the very least, “Hmm, well maybe. I mean he is crazy after all.” I’m really pleased to see here that there are some people who are questioning what they told and not just engaging in some bizarre public execution.
